Jared Mnich

Jared Mnich is a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult) and grew up bilingual as a native signer. He come from a predominantly Deaf family. Prior to joining KU, Jared was an ASL educator within the Olathe School District. He is an active supporter of ASL and the Deaf community at the non-profit level, including working with local churches as a language facilitator and is currently working with the Kansas Commission for the Deaf & hard of Hearing. He is also actively involved in the ASL Teachers Association (ASLTA) focusing on authentic LGBTQ+ inclusion in ASL curricula.
