Biography

Deborah E. Griswold, is assistant professor for practice in the Department of Special Education at the University of Kansas. She earned her Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Kansas. She served as grant coordinator for teacher educator preparation focused on improving outcomes for children and youth with autism spectrum disorders and other disabilities. Prior to her work at KU she taught as a special educator. She co-authored articles and a book and serves as a consulting editor and reviewer for the journals Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities, and Teacher Education and Special Education. Dr. Griswold specializes in teacher education, emotional behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
